Itinerary

You may arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by one of our airport representatives. He will escort you to your Hotel. Since there are no planned activities for the day, you can check into your Hotel and relax. Overnights stay at the Hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, you will have a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara city. Pokhara is the country's tourist hub and is also the main gateway into the Annapurna region treks. It takes about 5 hours to reach Pokhara from the capital, and the drive there is filled with wonderful natural sights of the mountains and rivers. Upon arriving at Pokhara, you will be escorted to your Hotel. Overnights stay at Pokhara hotel.

Early in the morning, you will have a drive to Nayapul. It is another famous stop during the Annapurna trek. From Nayapul, you will begin your trek to Tikhedhunga, passing through ethnic villages like Birethanti, Lamdawali, Sudame, and Hile. The Annapurna Conservation Area post is situated at Birethanti, where you will be required to show your permit. All along the trek, the trekking path beautifully coruscates through the woodlands of pine, rhododendron, and cedar, and you can enjoy gorgeous views of the Annapurna and the Machhapuchhre Peaks overshadowing the valley. The relatively easy uphill trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani is filled with exceptional natural beauty. The path takes you through the thick forests of cedar and pine towards the famous village of Ghorepani. Following the trail, you will cross a suspension bridge and then ascend the 3300 step stairs to reach the Magar village of Ulleri. Cultivated fields and terrace farms dot the terrain, and the views of mountain peaks seen from the trail ridges are simply magnificent. Ahead of Ulleri lies Nangethati, where you will stop for lunch. From there, you will finally follow the path towards Ghorepani. Overnights stay at Ghorepani, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Waking up early in the morning, you will have a short hike towards one of the most famous viewpoints in the Annapurna region- Poonhill, to witness one of the most magnificent sights in the world. The sunrise view seen from Poonhill is quite sublime. The panoramic view of the entire Annapurna Himalayan range can be seen from the viewpoint, and the sight of the slowly rising sun from amidst the peaks is quite heavenly. After that short adventure, you will begin your trek to today's destination, Tadapani. The trek to Tadapani also offers amazing natural beauty, vast pastures, and thick woodlands of Himalayan maples. Today, you will make your way towards Chhomrong, gradually descending the valley. Crossing many suspension bridges covered in colorful prayer flags, you will walk past beautiful rhododendron woods. The terrace farms along the way are also cultivated with crops like barley and wheat. You can see gorgeous sights of mountain peaks like the Annapurna range along the journey, the Hiunchuli Himal, and the Machhapuchhre peak looming on the horizon. The trail out of the Chhomrong villages takes you descending the valley ridgeline once more as you make your way down through stone steps. Finally, the trail reaches the Chhomrong Khola, which you can cross via the suspension bridge. From there, it is a gradual ascend towards the village of Sinuwa. Passing through the beautiful alpine woodlands at Khuldighar, you will finally reach Bamboo. Overnights stay at the village, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Passing through the cold and misty bamboo forest ahead of the village, you will continue on your journey today towards the village of Deurali. The forest of bamboo trees covers up most of the sky today, and the green canopy can make it hard to see the mountains. But once you reach the Himalayan Hotel, the path then clears up again, and the mountain sights greet you as they loom over the woodlands in the distance. The climb then becomes steep, and the trail takes you to the Hinku cave. From here, you can even see the trail dropping off down towards the river below, and the ridge provides scenic panoramic views of the entire valley. The trail meanders adjacent to vertical cliffs that also occasionally hold wispy waterfalls. Overnights stay Deurali, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

The trekking trail today takes you through dotted terrain of river beds and steep climbs. You will hike up the landscape towards the Bagar village, enjoying amazing natural sights and the serene environment. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre base Camp can be a bit strenuous, but it is manageable. From the base camp of Machhapuchhre, you can enjoy heavenly views of the Annapurna peaks, as well as views of the Gandharvachuli Peak and the Gangapurna Himal. From there, it is a straight climb up to the Annapurna Base Camp. Overnights stay at camp.

This day is reserved as a rest day and also for acclimatization. You can spend the day taking in the views and just relaxing at the camp. It is a serene environment with amazing Himalayan views and panoramic sights of the valley. This day is also important for tomorrow’s hike as you need to let your body relax for the hike ahead. Overnights stay at camp, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today's journey will take you to the Tent Peak Base Camp. You will pass through many glaciers and moraines to reach today's destination. Following your guide, you will navigate through the vast icy terrain to reach another one of the Annapurna region's Himalayan base. The trek can be a bit strenuous, but with patience and perseverance, you can accomplish it. Overnights stay at Tent Peak Base Camp, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Much like the trek to Tent Peak, you will have another moderate trek towards High Camp today. Following your guide and using climbing equipment like ropes and ice axes, you will make your way to High Camp, gaining elevation. Trudging through the snowy layers of glacial sludge, you will make your way to today's destination. Overnights stay at High Camp, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

This is another day reserved for rest and acclimatization. You can let your body rest today and get used to the elevation and the high altitude environment. Your guide will also brief you about the upcoming trek. Overnights stay at High Camp.

This is the day you will make your way to the Singu Chuli Camp I. It is a half-day trek, which requires about 5 to 6 hours of climbing up the peak. Taking it slow and using your handy equipment, you will make your way to today’s destination. Overnights stay at Camp I.

This is your second quarter of the climb towards the peak. Today, you will make your way to Camp II, following your guide as he takes you through the snowy terrain. Trekking and climbing the vast landscape of glaciers and snowy crevasses, you will finally reach Camp II. Overnights stay at Camp II, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

This is your big day! Today, you will do your climb to the summit of Singu Chuli Peak. It is an arduous journey, but the sense of accomplishment you would feel once at the summit is unparalleled. After summiting the peak, you will then carefully make your way back down to Camp II. Overnights stay at Camp II< breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Making your way back to Tent Base Camp, you will follow a similar path as you descend the peak back towards the tent base Camp. The way down is much easier than the climb up, and you can also enjoy the beautiful terrain as you make your way down, with the gleaming sun shining down on the vast snowy landscape. Overnights stay at Tent Base Camp, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

From the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you will leave the snowy expanse and enter the lush green pastures once again as you make your descent down to the village of Sinuwa. The landscape is filled with alpine woodlands and terrace farms green once again as you leave the high altitude snow behind. The view of the valley from the ridgelines and cliff side as you trek to Sinuwa is also excellent. Overnights stay at Sinuwa, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today's trek is relatively easy as you make your way to one of the most famous yet obscure resting places in the region- Jhinu Danda. This is a natural hot spring that is believed to have healing properties. The natural hot spring offers a myriad of minerals in its steamy waters, and upon reaching Jhinu, you can relax and soak your body in the hot spring, letting the tiredness of the summit climb melt away. Today's trekking trip consists of a beautiful journey down the Himalayan foothill as you make your way to Pothana. The path from Jhinu goes through fabulous terrace farms and pastures where you can see many goat and sheep herds grazing contently in the fields. Further down the valley, you will cross many small streams and natural brooks as you finally reach Pothana, an ethnic Magar village. Overnights stay at Pothana, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Following the coruscating trail, you will trek through the alpine canopies of lush forests back towards Dhamus Phedi. The small viewpoint at Dhampus Phedi offers dazzling sights of the valley, including the hills cut out into cultivated terrace farms and small doll-like village huts under the serrations of the Annapurna mountain peaks. From Dhampus Phedi, you will then have a drive back to Pokhara. Overnights stay at Pokhara, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today, you will bid the Annapurna mountains goodbye as you make your way back to the capital, following the same highway as before. The drive back is just as beautiful, with fleeting sights of the riverside villages and vast fields of mustard and wheat farms rolling in the winds. Overnights stay at the Hotel in Kathmandu.

01: Is Fluted Peak or Singu Chuli a difficult peak to climb and what grade?

Fluted Peak or Singu Chuli, the shortest climb of fewer than two weeks duration;
Singu Chuli towers high at 6,501 m / 21, 323 feet.
One of the tallest trekking peaks around Nepal Himalayas, the peak is well hidden
beyond towering Machhapuchare Himal on the north side of scenic Annapurna
Sanctuary. It is quite difficult with few technical sections to tackle requiring climbing
skills and good gear for the climb to reach the summit.
The climb is graded as TD (Technical Difficult) as per French and Swiss Alpine
Classification Systems. A great adventure allows trekkers and climbers to get
acclimatized by visiting Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 m, as well as with time for
acclimatization and practice climb.

02: Is Fluted Peak and Singu Chuli the same Peak?

Fluted Peak and Singu Chuli is the same mountain, the name Fluted Peak is due to
its shape christened by early explorer and mountaineers. The local Nepali name is
Singu Chuli is a whole separate mountain standing by itself without any adjoining
peaks close to the peak.

03: What types of accommodation and food to expect on this trek and climb?

As this trek takes you around the famous and popular Annapurna Sanctuary and
Annapurna base camp trail. There are many good lodges and food available, from
Continental, Tibetan, Chines, Indian, Italian and Nepalese sets of the menu. The
rooms are cozy and neat, but on the climb of Singu Chuli or Fluted Peak use the tented
camp for a few overnights till the climb is complete. Brown Bear provides two men
tents, with a different unit of the kitchen with a cook and kitchen staff, along with guide
and porters.

04: What happens if someone gets very sick in between the trek and climb?

Depending upon the seriousness of the patient, for minor wounds and sickness,
having self-treatment with the medicines carried by the clients and from Brown
Bear Trail. For critical conditions, the victim should be brought and evacuated to
a safe lower place to the nearest medical post or hospital by the fastest means of
transportation. In some situation requires Helicopter service the fastest means to
bring the sick to Pokhara or Kathmandu for further treatment.

05: Is there any facilities to charge our electronic gadgets?

On this trip to Singu Chuli or Fluted Peak, all places have the facilities of electricity
power either by hydro or solar energy. Where one can charge their electronic items
by paying a fee per hour for gadgets charged to the lodge owner.
But on leaving the lodge at Annapurna Base Camp for the climb there will no
facilities to charge your electronic items for a few days. Trekkers need to carry a
portable Solar Panel for charging their electronic gadgets till reaching the
nearest lodge on route to Chomrong unto Pokhara after the end of climb.

06: Which is the best time for this wonderful adventure?

The best time and season are spring and autumn / fall. Spring starts from March
to May. The spring will be lively and bright with clear fine days most of the time

with longer sunlight hours. Where hills will be alive with wildflowers in full bloom
especially the rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal. Could get snow-fall
sometimes and light rain around lower areas.
The next time is autumn/fall from September to November, most days are
crystal clear for views and walks. But days are short due to the sunlight hours of
autumn and pre-winter times. Can expect snowfall around high altitudes above
2,800 m high, extra cold with a wind-chill factor.
